| Title: All I Ever Knew and its companion All I Ever Wanted Author: manyafandom Summary: AIEK: Jasper finds something he has been is looking for in the most unexpected place. Friendship and Fluff and Romance. JasperxEdward. Rated M for subject matter and future chapters. AIEW: Edward feeling alone and lost in the world after a horrible tragedy finds all he ever wanted when he was least expecting it...love and his place in the world. My story "All I Ever Knew" from Edward's POV, AU-AH, Slash, ExJ, Rated M for Smut/Adult Concept Rating: M Why I'm rec'ing it: AIEK was the first slash I ever read, and I can't even tell you why I read it. I'd been reading manyafandom's The Arrangement, and I was sort of bored one night, and the link to AIEK kept taunting me. I thought I would be turned off by the subject matter (don't ask...yes, I like gay porn. Who knows?), but I decided to give it a chance, and I ended up devouring the dozen or so chapters that were posted in one sitting. There is a strange innocence and beauty to this story that causes me to bug every single fanfiction person I talk to to read it. It's really a story about finding love unexpectedly and learning to accept that things don't always happen the way we think they're supposed to. From Jasper's new "himsexuality" to Edward's virginity, everything about this story makes me love it. Oh, and Cuffward is fuckhot and he owns me. AIEW is so heartbreaking in so many ways. To really get inside this Edward's head and see the struggles that he has and the loneliness he feels just made me love him more - which was an amazing feat. If anyone is thinking about trying slash for the first time, this is the story I unequivocally recommend. It is sweet and touching, and the physical intimacy builds slowly, so it's not thrown at you all at once. I'm going to be heartbroken when this story ends. | Alrighty, so:
1) Cuffward is fuckhot. 2) Honeyboy is too. 3) Emmett is hilarious. 4) Rose is an honest to God vixen, and it's awesome.
I do enjoy this story, but I must warn that sometimes Hope's phrasing is slightly squicky - this shouldn't be a surprise for anyone who read The Arrangement, but I feel as though it needs to be said. She's just very direct in places other authors would not be, so there's your warning.
Please note that I do enjoy this story; the warning is for any of you slash n00bs who want to start reading it.

Oh, her lemony scenes in AIEK are fine for me (Again, The Arrangement is a different story) , but I still feel compelled to give a warning, since I, like you, am markedly less sensitive than most. She's a little hardcore sometimes when it seems she doesn't need to be. Example: When a certain character admits that he is gay, he says "I like the cock" as opposed to some gentler alternative. I know they are all boys, but you know - it seemed out of place, imo, for the situation.

| Hmm...guess it just comes down to the fact that I have an exceptionally filthy mouth/mind and don't notice those things | |
